Founded in , Shamrock Park is a beautiful campground on the bank of the St. Joseph River that is owned and operated by the Village of Berrien Springs. There are many farm markets, U-picks, and wineries in the area for you to visit. Shamrock Park is a year-round camping and fishing park complete with modern restrooms and showers, DNR built boat ramp, fish cleaning station, and sanitary dump station. Both the restrooms and the fish cleaning station are heated in the winter. For your convenience, the Park Manager resides right here at the Park. Fish for salmon, steelhead, walleye, and more. There are several privately owned and operated charter boat services available at the Park. Bring your own boat or just come to relax and enjoy beautiful Southwest Michigan. If more than 24 hours late, you must cancel the whole reservation and rebook for new desired dates. Failure to do so will result in a no-show with loss of all fees. Campers are not permitted to camp for more than 15 consecutive nights in any individual campground. Combined multiple reservations that exceed 15 nights could result in a mandatory reduction of the combined stay so that the 15 night limit is not exceeded.

Anglers can find walleye, pike, perch, rainbow trout and all manner of pan fish in the immediate area. Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell have large populations of walleye, northern pike, crappie, bluegills, perch, large mouth and small mouth bass. The two lakes are connected by a canal built during the long and interesting northern Michigan logging era.
The canal was originally built so lumbermen could float timber from the shores of Lake Mitchell to waiting sawmills on Lake Cadillac. Today the canal serves as a convenient link between two of Michigan’s most popular fishing lakes. Together Lakes Cadillac and Mitchell offer over 3, acres of prime fish holding habitat. Lake Cadillac is approximately 1, acres in size and features over acres of prime fish-holding weed cover.
Lake Mitchell is connect to Lake Cadillac via a canal constructed in the late s. It is the largest of the area’s three major lakes at 2, acres. The lake is a prime all-sports lake in the area with an average depth of 8.

California State Parks Campgrounds Dogs are allowed in California State Parks campgrounds, but must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet and in a tent or enclosed vehicle at night. Pets are not permitted in park buildings, on trails, or on most beaches. Angeles National Forest Campgrounds Campsites are first come, first served with a maximum day stay at a site, and a total of 30 days stay per year in this Forest. The Angeles National Forest offer group campgrounds on all three of the ranger districts, some accommodating up to campers.
